About the Role
We currently have opportunities for experienced Fixed Plant Electricians to join our Maintenance team in the RSM Rail Workshops in Port Hedland. Motivated, adaptable and eager to learn, successful candidates will enjoy being part of collaborative and diverse teams. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract working 7 days, 7 nights and 14 off roster and can be residential based or FIFO.
As part of our high performing team you will:
- Work closely with all employees and stakeholders to analyze performance issues, develop, and implement strategies for improvement.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures.
- Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvements.
- Notify Supervisor of any defects/damage on any Plant Maintenance equipment.
- Install electrical equipment within the plant
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across site and functional teams to support collaborative outcomes
- Positively contribute to Ports culture; ensuring a strong focus on safety, performance and inclusivity
- Actively engage and contribute in our improvement programs to help improve port every day!
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Australian recognised Electrical Trade qualification
- WA Electrical Licence or the ability to obtain one
- Current valid drivers licence
- Previous fixed plant experience
- Electrical knowledge and interpret technical drawings
- 1SAP maintenance systems
- Experience in automations, process control equipment and environment
- CNC Sinumerik Automation System experience
- PLC (Siemens), HMI/Scada, VSD experience
