Due to our upgrades and expansion, we are seeking multiple Fixed Plant Fitters to join our maintenance team.

King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 5.2 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Fixed Plant Fitter will carry out preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance to mechanical equipment in the Processing Plant and site infrastructure to ensure plant equipment is maintained at a high level of availability.
This position will be offered on a 15:13 dayshift, with rotational rostered swings of 14:14 nightshift 3-6 times a year.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Maintain optimum output for the processing plant by monitoring and adjusting operating variables and equipment (pertinent to your role function) during each shift as required.
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained at a high level of availability.
- Able to source information required to complete all assigned tasks.
- Ensure that all completed work orders have relevant detailed and accurate information added to assist in the maintenance record compilation.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge for each section of the Mill process (from crushing through to the product) as well as the operational requirements of the department.
- Undertake safe work related to Waste water treatment and water services (as per hygiene management processes, and procedures / training) in the absence of the Water services technician, or as directed.
- Be proactive in continuously improving maintenance strategies.
About You
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with fixed plant assets in mining environment.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter)
- High level of experience with general fitting activities in a gold mineral processing plant
- Excellent crusher maintenance experience, in particular with Metso crushers and conveyor systems
- Previous experience in maintaining SAG mills, screens, gravity and CIP circuits, and fault-finding in pump and hydraulic systems.
- Possessing a Poly welding qualification and High-Risk license are highly regarded.
- Current WA Driver’s License (manual C/HR class) and Senior First Aid Certificate.
