Fixed Plant Leading Hand - Electrical
Work Location:
Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

8D6R - FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Central Maintenance Team this role will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of Fixed Plant Maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner enabling the Fixed Plant Operations to meet the present and future operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Core value of safety first and leading by example.
- Hazard identification and rectification
- Provide on job support and coaching to personnel during maintenance activities across the OPF processing assets.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Diagnose and repair common faults in processing plant mechanical / hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and log all information into the asset management system.
- Create subsequent work from inspections, activities, and shared learnings to increase equipment reliability.
- SAP experience and computer literacy with ability to mentor and train.
- Shutdown area lead and Supervision of shutdown & maintenance teams.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in a similar role maintaining fixed plant in a workshop and field environment.
- Mechanical / Electrical Trade Qualification/Certificate.
- Knowledge and experience in computer maintenance management systems (SAP).
- Proven commitment to safety.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work with others to achieve objectives, team oriented.
- Sound verbal, written and computer skills.
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills.
