About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance the Maintenance Superintendent will have the opportunity to manage and lead a large team located in Central Pilbara.
As a Superintendent your responsibilities will include:
- An unwavering commitment to creating a safe workplace and developing leaders in your team to continuously improve the safety outcomes for the site.
- Ensuring planned and unplanned maintenance tasks are executed safely and to a high quality
- Overseeing the work management routines
- Driving the defect elimination and best maintenance practices within maintenance execution,
- Accepting accountability for the performance of the team by ensuring quality of tasks, services and advice to the operation and asset functions.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring team members to deliver on plan and build a high performing team.
- Ensuring critical controls are in place for the identified material risks within the maintenance function.
- Leading and championing reliability principles and defect elimination processes to ensure maintenance strategies are continuously improved and equipment run-time is maximised.
- Participating in the development of budget and business plans.
- Interfacing with key stakeholders to ensure Maintenance plans and schedules are aligned with respective plans, specifications and standards
About You
A performance and achievement orientated professional, your technical strengths with significant experience will be complemented by engagement and communication skills, high energy levels, and an action oriented attitude tempered by simplicity. An overriding commitment to health, safety, and environment is essential, on this we build excellence in all areas.
In addition, you will possess the following:
- Solid understanding of maintenance and engineering practices will be supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in the industry with the ability to deliver outstanding results in asset maintenance.
- A forward-thinking leadership style with a strong focus on safety, inclusion and diversity, productivity and maximising the benefit of technology.
- Previous experience in leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary diverse teams through effective communication coupled with strong operational discipline is required for the success of this role.
Location
You will be based at our ‘Area C’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out 5/4/4/3/9/5 roster. Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms North West of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
