Fixed Plant Mechanical Technician
Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people
Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at Eliwana's Ore Processing Facility, this role will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commitment to and demonstrating our Fortescue values
- Ensuring activities are completed in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner
- Maintenance works on crushers, screens, scrubbers, pumps and general fixed plant equipment
- Raising notifications and work orders
- Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter/ Fitter Turner
- Site based, fixed plant experience
- Experience in maintaining crushing, grinding, screening, and pumping assets
- Interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Computer literacy with MS Office and SAP
