Position Title: Mechanical Fitter
Work Location: Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N14R or 7D7N7R– FIFO ex Perth
Working within our Solomon Ore Process Plant Facilities (OPF), this role will oversee the safe, effective and timely maintenance of plant and machinery to achieve maximum efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- High quality safety and continuous improvement practices
- Carry out planned and routine maintenance activities
- Diagnosing and fault finding
- Oversee contractor groups on modular and major plant shutdowns
- Use in SAP to raise notifications, close out work orders, time confirmations and cause codes
Education and Experience:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Process plant maintenance experience, both wet and dry plant desirable
- Experience with all aspects of fixed plant maintenance i.e. screens, conveyors, Sizers, crushers, balance machines and chutes
- Self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP desirable
- EWP, working at heights, Rigging, Forklift and confined space training desirable
