About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Operator to join our high-performing and diverse team in Wickham. Working a 5/5/4 days-only residential roster, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe and reliable operations while being part of a collaborative and supportive team environment. 

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be

  • Safe operation of fixed plant equipment to meet daily production targets & KPI’s

  • Daily use of safety tools (STS App, CCC, Pre task hazard assessments)

  • Dumper, Conveyor, Stacking, Reclaiming & Shiploader operations

  • Self-managing assigned sequence & daily tasks

  • Execution of wash down activities to meet plant hygiene & shut wash requirements

  • Conduct shore side mooring operations

  • Effectively communicate with OC Controllers & other key stakeholders

  • Complete quality handovers with oncoming teams

  • Identify & capturing defects of Port assets via Paperless Maintainer / SAP notifications 

About you

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

  • Two years Fixed plant experience - working with shiploaders, crushers, screens, conveyors, reclaimers, car dumpers and stackers

  • Experience operating D10, D11 Dozers advantageous

  • A current WA ‘Manual C Class’ Drivers license

  • A current or eligibility to obtain a MSIC

  • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values and behaviours

  • Ability to work in an inclusive & diverse team environment

  • Strong oral & written communication skills

  • Computer literacy skills with MS office products
