We have a fantastic opportunity for Fixed Plant Operators to join our team at Parker Point. In this role you are required to operate the processing plants in a safe and efficient manner, performing daily inspections of equipment, maintaining plant condition, and performing isolations for maintenance activities. This is a great opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a new challenge.

Some duties include.

  • Operating, carrying out routine inspections and maintaining the condition of the fixed plants
  • Demonstrating commitment to safety in a team environment
  • Demonstrating the ability to carry out basic fault find and diagnosis
  • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to daily targets
  • Conducting routine activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of our area assets
  • Involved in any manual handling associated with basic maintenance and inspection of the plant
  • Working in a field role, monitoring of equipment, cleaning, hosing, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Working autonomously to monitor the process in a safe and effective manner
  • Safe mooring operations vessels, and ship loading operations.

About youTo be considered for this role, you will have: 

  • An Australian C Class manual Driver's licence.
  • Stacker / reclaimer operations experience
  • Ship loading and mooring experience
  • Mobile plant experience - bobcat and water cart (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

Where you will be working

Our port facilities consist of three shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert, which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading. This position is located at Parker Point in Dampier. Adjoining the port of Dampier is Karratha which is located just off the North West Coastal Highway, 1535 kilometres north of Perth and 240 kilometres south of Port Hedland. Karratha is a city in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. With a bustling city centre, Karratha’s recent reinvention will surprise you with its hip restaurants and modern facilities, but best of all Karratha's location means it is surrounded by iconic natural attractions.
