Fuel Delivery Driver

Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, Fortescue is seeking a Safety Focused and motivated MC licensed drivers to join the Infrastructure Services team at the Solomon mine site. These permanent full-time positions will consist in the delivery of the sites diesel requirements from the Primary Diesel Storage facility (PDSF) to various satellite fuel farms.

To suit business requirements the successful candidates will, on a rotational basis, be required to operate the site potable trucks.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Operate Multiple Combination (MC) Prime Mover with two custom oversized diesel Barrels on internal mining roads
• Load and unload barrels via API arrangement
• Record and report delivery volumes as required
• Communicate with site operations personnel
• Maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness by carrying out daily pre-start inspections and reporting any defects to the Operations Supervisor
• Operate 15kl Potable water truck and deliver potable water to satellite facilities around site

Qualifications and skills required:

• Current MC Driver's License
• Current DG License
• Safe Load Certificate
• WA Fatigue Cert (Desirable)
• Proven experience operating Fuel Delivery Infrastructure and Assets
• Good communication skills and hazard awareness
• Strong safety focus and awareness of site based road rules
• Self-motivated and have good attention to detail
