Functional Safety Engineer

Position Title Functional Safety Engineer

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

12 Month Fixed Term

Key responsibilities include: 

• Functional Safety awareness (This is not HSE Safety)
• Knowledge of C++, C#, Python, Java, DDS, ROS, CAN. (Familiar with or willingness to learn)
• Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.
• JIRA. (Familiar with or willingness to learn)
• GITHUB. (Familiar with or willingness to learn)
• Exida- ExSILentia. (Familiar with or willingness to learn)
• Degree qualification or equivalent in Mechatronics or equivalent
• Confluence. (Familiar with or willingness to learn) 
• ISA or Exida Functional Safety Certificate. (Note, or willing to obtain certificate by performing course study and exam(s) within 6mths).

Education and Experience:
