We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst – Group Service with experience in mining to join our cFIN project supporting the Group Services (GS) team for a 12-month project role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business requirements, ensuring quality assurance of solutions through unit and integration testing, and delivering high-quality results.
You will be part of a project team working closely with our Systems Integrator (SI) ensuring effective collaboration with key stakeholders in GS, Consolidations, Tax, Reporting, and IS&T teams and demonstrate effective management of multiple stakeholder groups. Responsible for effective requirements gathering you will be key to understanding business priorities and effective delivery of business value. The role will support GS in analysis, outlining business problems, opportunities and documenting future state business processes.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work with multi-disciplinary teams. and managing effective business relationships, influence and develop sound business requirements while supporting governance of solutions delivered.
Reporting to the Future Finance – Central FinanceProduct Owner and working in a collaborative and supportive project team on the Future Finance Project (FFP) - cFIN, you will:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements and ensuring that solutions meet business needs.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architecture team to facilitate collaboration between business and IT, providing guidance on how to prioritise features and functions based on business needs.
- Facilitating the gap analysis / change impact of current state and future state business processes.
- Document and maintain project-related artifacts such as requirements, data mapping requirements, test plans, test cases, test results, and data reconciliation.
- Ensure that solutions are tested thoroughly through unit and integration testing, identifying, and resolving any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure successful implementation of cFIN.
- Analyse test results and provide recommendations for improvements to the development team.
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met and provide updates on project progress.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and quality standards.
- Demonstrate experience in using the Scaled Agile framework, preferred but not essential.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Relevant experience in a similar role and working on a large global project.
- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst.
- Experience on similar global programs with relevant SAP FI CO experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to facilitate business requirements with IT.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience working in a mining industry is preferred.
- Experience with requirements management tools and software testing tools is a plus.
- Experience with business process mapping tools e.g. ADONIS
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Experience in a product and capability-based environment, and a familiarity with Agile ways of working - ideally within an asset intensive industry such as Mining
- Lean Six Sigma and Agile Certification an advantage.
