About the Role
Operations services have opportunities for certified and experienced Production Trainer Assessors to deliver training in Mackay and across a range of sites in Queensland. We are seeking those with multi skilled operations experience, ideally including Mining Haul Truck and Water Truck Training Assessing.
Trainer Assessors will be a combination of Mackay and site-based and work rosters will be in conjunction with frontline. As we grow, our Trainer Assessors may be required to facilitate training on different sites depending on operational needs and to
support traineeship training needs.
You will:
- Deliver competency based training materials to individuals or groups;
- Conduct Verification of Competencies for specific equipment ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work;
- Review performance and implement training in line with business drivers;
- Contribute to the design of training plans and assist in training improvements;
- Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards and recognised training organisation;
- Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work;
- Work with team members to support upskilling and career progression;.
- Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work.
About You
- A minimum of 3 years on-the-job multi skilled operator experience, ideally including a Haul truck & Watercart Skillset (RIIMPO338 & RIIMPO206), other skillset with be highly considered.
- A minimum of 12+ months on-the-job experience delivering certified operator training on production or traineeship environment
- Have an up-to-date Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - preferably the TAE40116 or working towards achieving this;
- Have an up-to-date Certificate III in Surface operations - preferably RII30120 or working towards achieving this; including Skillset – (RIIMPO338 & RIIMPO206)
- Possess a high level of computer literacy and ability to utilise digital systems for reporting and training.
- Have maintained currency with the equipment and work activities in which you train/assess;
- Proven organisational skills within a training environment and the ability to work autonomously;
- Exceptional skills in the presentation of material and the ability to build relationships;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach others in improvement and upskilling.
