CSA Mine currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with experience in underground metalliferous mining to join the Technical Services Team. You will be working in one of the world’s most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.

About the role

• Provide geotechnical input into the mine design, production sequencing, stope design and capital infrastructure excavations
• Maintain optimum development ground control standards including the implementation of sequencing guidelines to permit reliable production access
• Review ground control performance with regard to design, operational practices and design assumptions
• Maintain and optimise hazard management systems
• Maintain effective communication with technical and operational staff as well as ground control contractors
• Analyse and interpret engineering data using appropriate classification and design tools

The successful applicant will have:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent)
• Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or Geology
• Minimum 2 years’ geotechnical experience in an underground metalliferous environment
• Experience with mine software including Deswik

Conditions

This residential, DIDO or FIFO from Sydney role is offered on an 8 on 6 off Roster. An attractive remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience, as well as a bonus scheme and the opportunity to access other attractive employee benefits.
