Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta) Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off Department: Technical and Technology Manager: Senior Engineer - Geotechnical Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

In This Role You Will:

  • Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) of underground support systems. Inspecting, identifying and communication of non-compliance.
  • Auditing of ground support installation.
  • Sampling and testing of ground support elements to ensure compliance with site standards.
  • Input of QAQC and testing data into geotechnical databases.
  • Lidar and Maptek iSight scanning as determined by geotechnical engineers.
  • Collection of geotechnical monitoring data (surface and underground) as requested by geotechnical engineers.
  • Assistance to install and maintain geotechnical monitoring systems.
  • Basic geotechnical rock mass classification observations.

About You:

  • Experience working in underground hard rock mines.
  • Manual driving competence.
  • Ability to embed within the underground mining team to effectively work within mining cycle.
  • Working at Heights compliant (or willing to do on-the-job training).
  • Competence using Microsoft word, excel, power point.
  • Self-sufficiency to review, plan, and manage workload.
