About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Technician to join our team.

Reporting to the Superintendent Geotechnical Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring instrumentation installation, maintenance, and data interpretation including:
    • Deployment slope stability radars and troubleshooting issues.
    • Installation, troubleshooting and data collection of prism and total station data.
  • Piloting unmanned aircraft (drones) for aerial and 3D images.
  • Systems development and implementation.
  • Heritage inspections.

About You

You will have the skills to focus on the quality control and data collection of slope stability monitoring, working closely with the Geotechnical Engineers.

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • Minimum C class Driver’s Licence essential
  • Initiative and personal drive essential
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Excellent computer and data management skills
  • Mining experience advantageous
  • First Aid Certification advantageous
  • UAV licence advantageous
