About the role Reporting to the GM Safe Production System Delivery you will lead a team of Mindset & Behaviour and Safe Production System Coaches. Your role involves senior stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and Product Group Leads, together with coaching of deployment teams on site.

You will need to rely on a network of change partners and work closely with operational and functional teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the SPS framework and practices are delivered through deployment stage gates
  • Ensuring the SPS deployment team are set up for success
  • Ensuring integration of approaches (operational excellence, mindsets and behaviours, change management, safety) and critical thinking (PDCA) are applied to planning the implementation of practices
  • Refining the RTSPS deployment approach and practice development with a strong focus on impact
  • Developing capability through coaching within the COO team, Product Groups and Functions to facilitate the execution of high priority projects or initiatives.
  • Fostering a culture of constructive challenge and collaboration at all levels of the organization.
  • Working with the HSEC, HR, Finance and Technical functions and contributing to establishing, deploying and monitoring the leadership development plan

About you

You should have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and ideally a postgraduate degree
  • Relevant Business Improvement experience (examples include Lean, Theory of Constraints, 6 Sigma, agile, TPM)
  • An operational, technical or functional background with demonstrated leadership experience in driving change in an operational environment and developing capability.
  • Excellent listening and facilitation skills
  • An ability to coach and interact with senior leaders as well as all other leadership levels.
  • Commitment to RTSPS mindset and behaviour (transparency, simplicity, supportive leadership, empowerment and continuous improvement)
  • Ability to develop partnerships and manage a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate new ideas, influence others and manage conflict
  • Project management experience
  • Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Current C Class driver’s license
