Regional Operations Centre 

Illawarra Metallurgical Coal produces premium-quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain. This position will be based at the Regional Operations Centre, Port Kembla Coal Terminal in Wollongong, NSW. 

Graduate Program 

Our Graduate program is tailored to provide you with a unique learning opportunity that will help you develop all the foundational skills to set you up for your future career at South32.  

When you join the South32 Graduate Program you will: 

• Receive a personalised graduate passport to guide your development pathway over 2 years 
• Your unique career pathway will include rotations to build your technical and professional skills  
• Lead an improvement initiative which has genuine business impact 
• Participate in a 3-day residential experience with graduates from across our global operations 
• Receive dedicated support from graduate buddies and senior leaders
