Seeking a Graduate Geologist available to start immediately.

With over a century of mining history, Darlot is a cornerstone operation of Vault Minerals Limited producing high-grade gold production. With a strong legacy, Darlot is focused on the future, optimising production and driving exploration programs to extend the mine’s lifespan and uncover new resources. The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent as the Graduate Geologist you will have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in the industry through exposure to all functions of a mine geologist, with hands-on practical experience, data collation, analysis and processing. You will learn industry best practice while understanding how to operate in a safe, sustainable and efficient manner.
This role is being offered on an 8:6 FIFO position from Perth.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Learn the geological stratigraphy and complete core logging to industry and company standards.
- Undertake underground mapping and sampling.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with other departments, contractors and colleagues alike.
- Updating the database with geological and assay information
- Undertaking geological data validation.
- Ensuring effective communication through reporting on a daily and monthly basis.
About You
- Degree in Geology or a related discipline.
- Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class).
- Developing an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, as well as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
- Demonstrates outstanding attention to detail and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite.
- Vacation work experience within the Mining industry, ideally within Gold Mining, will be highly regarded.
