The Role
The opportunity for a Graduate Mine Geologist has become available to work as part of the Technical Services team at Tritton Copper Operations. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will collect, interpret and report geological & geotechnical information in a safe and efficient manner. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
About You
Tritton Copper Operations employs more than 400 people and is in Hermidale in Western New South Wales. Tritton has three underground copper mines (Tritton, Avoca Tank and Murrawombie) and the current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
Tritton is a key employer within the region and a proud supporter of the community. We are a residential mine that allows you to be home each night. Accommodation support is provided as well as company transport from Nyngan to the operation. Nyngan is a family friendly community, with a variety of shops, gyms, and sporting activities as well as primary and high schools.

The Role
The opportunity for a Graduate Mine Geologist has become available to work as part of the Technical Services team at Tritton Copper Operations. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will collect, interpret and report geological & geotechnical information in a safe and efficient manner. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Conduct geological & geotechnical logging of diamond drill core
- Liaise with the diamond drilling contractor as required
- Liaise with field staff daily
- Assist with geological interpretation & modelling as required
- Underground mapping of development drives
- Assisting with daily/weekly production input and reporting
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology
- Ability to work to tight timeframes and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate proactive safety behaviour
- Manual Driver’s License
- Microsoft Office skills, Database (AcQuire preferred)
