About the program

During the two-year graduate program at Yancoal Australia, mining engineering graduates will embark on a dynamic journey of professional development and practical learning. In the first phase, you will be onboarded, while gaining insights into our company’s values, operations, and safety protocols. You will rotate through various departments, such as exploration, mine planning, operations, and environmental management, gaining exposure to the breadth of activities within the mining industry. Throughout the program, you will work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to innovative projects and problem- solving challenges. You will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world applications, leveraging cutting- edge technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you will participate in specialised training programs, workshops, and mentorship initiatives.

• Hands on experience in both opencut and underground mine sites.
• Exposed to both operational and technical rotations.
• Mentorships by a senior leader based outside the site where you work.
• Permanent fulltime placement after successful completion of the program.

The Successful Applicants will have

• A bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent qualification
• Valid Australian driver's license
