Green Energies Compliance Advisor/Administrator
Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday - Friday
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Energy Hub whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet. This position will be on a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension/permanency
Reporting to the Decarbonization Ops Readiness HSE Superintendent, this role works closely with our Decarbonisation and Green Fleet teams to oversee and monitor the legislative and compliance requirements of multiple Govt depts within the DMIRS. This role will assist the HSE Superintendent in developing and integrating the necessary procedures and management systems to support Green Fleet testing and safe operation of Hydrogen and Battery powered HME systems that will govern the deployment of new green mobile fleet technologies into a mining business.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Support the Decarb Leadership Team in understanding and applying DMIRS’s governance frameworks ensuring consistent application across the organisation.
- Manage and coordinate reporting of compliance matters and identify risks to be escalated to the DMIRS.
- Identify compliance risks or gaps to inform the compliance audits in the strategic Internal Audit schedule.
- Interpret and communicate legislative and other compliance requirements in a practical and solutions focused outlook.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, complete work within deadlines, and with limited supervision
- Use high level relationship management and negotiation skills including the ability to manage the needs of multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
- Developing/enhancing templates and guiding principles for enhancing standards, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to understand the documentation subject matter and requirements.
- Managing the development, review (and where applicable, approval), and publishing of documentation in PIMS.
- Provide administrative support to the site Decarb team
- Data validation and reporting
Qualifications and skills required:
- 5 years minimum experience in a compliance-based role
- Proven experience writing and editing professional documentation
- Intimate Knowledge of Management of Change Process- Essential
- Familiarity and experience with training and competency management systems -desirable
- Operational Mining Experience in a Production role – desirable
- You have a thirst for knowledge and learning new applications
