Grid Connection Manager
Work Location: Brisbane, QLD (flexible)
Roster: Monday to Friday
Fantastic opportunity to get in at the ground level of a rapidly expanding, dynamic, global green energy business.
We are currently seeking a Grid Connection Manager to be responsible for the end-to-end management of the grid connection process for large renewable assets and network connected loads to deliver project Connection Agreements, Offers to Connect and associated approvals.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Providing guidance and management in commercial and technical aspects of the grid connections process.
- Management of grid connection consultants, preparation, and submission of enquires and applications.
- Work closely with and support the Development teams in managing connection risks and defining scope requirements.
- Providing technical advice to support new project identification, viability screening and connection risks and planning.
- Assisting project development and delivery managers in developing grid connections schedules and budgets from inception through to R2 stage.
- Working with and maintaining relationships with technical consultants, contractors, technical vendors and 3rd party advisors
- Role is initially focused in QLD and expected to expand over time to include all National Electricity Market TNSP’s and DNSP’s.
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
- Demonstrated technical and commercial acumen, ideally in Renewables connection process and agreements.
- Knowledge and experience of Generator registration and model validation
- Demonstrated high level analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
- An ability to think laterally and comfort with unconventional project approaches
- Experience in management of TNSP relationships and connection process
