Job Tasks and Responsibilities

In this role you will provide asset management advice across our Yancoal Mining Operations. Through key influencing and relationship building skills, you will support site maintenance teams to improve and standardise Maintenance Systems, Processes and Procedures. In addition, you will work closely with Maintenance teams to improve equipment Availability and MTBF across all sites. Effective maintenance shutdown planning and execution will be a critical focus of the role.    Reporting to the Executive General Manager Operations the role will also require you to: •    Provide wide ranging technical advice to our Operational and Maintenance teams  •    Create and manage group level Asset Management standards and guidelines •    Assess, identify and implement improvement opportunities in maintenance systems, standards and processes •    Manage fleet maintenance life cycle cost models •    Manage group reliability engineering projects •    Lead and maintain maintenance performance management processes  

Skills and Experience

•    Tertiary qualifications in engineering or trade with post grad qualifications in Asset Management •    At least 10 years open cut mining experience •    Track record of effective cost management in previous roles and high-performance results •    Have led maintenance/engineering site based teams and able to demonstrate your ability to influence and effectively manage business transformation  •    Engineering Degree or trade with post graduate qualifications in Asset Management.
