Group Manager - Asset Management

A fantastic opportunity to join the Asset Management &Technologies Team at Whitehaven Coal. Based at our Gunnedah Office and reporting to the General Manager. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders of Whitehaven Coal, where everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. You will support the development of a safety culture where safety is an integral part of ‘the way we work’.

What You’ll Do

• Establish & lead asset management methods and systems across operations
• Develop Life of Mine (LOM) and asset lifecycle processes for the WHC Group
• Project manage key asset & technical initiatives and implementations
• Assist the budget assembly processes for own department and asset elements of operational mines.
• Prepare submissions and manage project spend within budget constraints.
• Comply with all of Whitehaven’s policies and procedures, and adhere to Whitehaven’s Code of Conduct and a high level of discipline.

What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role its important to have strong communication and presentation skills. Along with Innovation, creativity and strategic thinking.

• 10 years engineering & maintenance experience in industry or mining
• Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline
• Asset or Maintenance Management qualifications
• Familiar with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Experience with: spreadsheets, databases & schedules
• Equipment reliability & performance analysis
