Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a Group Asset Manager to join the Asset team in Perth. Reporting to the General Manager - Assets, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the life cycle management of all company equipment.
With 60 years since establishment, Macmahon is a diversified contractor with leading capabilities in surface and underground mining, civil construction, and related engineering. Our end-to-end mining services encompass mine development and materials delivery, engineering, civil construction, on-site mining services, rehabilitation, and site remediation.
As an ASX-listed company that is headquartered in Perth, we work for resource companies across various commodity sectors in Australia and Southeast Asia. The role
- Plan, coordinate and direct the acquisition, delivery, rebuild and disposal of all company equipment
- Ensure timely delivery of safe, reliable and productive plant to projects
- Empower projects to reliably execute the mine plans at the lowest sustainable operating cost
- Complete equipment risk assessments
- Responsible for component management
- Track equipment and utilisation
- Provide technical advice on all equipment issues
- Assist the commercial and tendering team with tenders, budgets, forecasts and purchases
The ideal candidate
- Engineering degree, trade or asset management qualification
- 10+ years mining industry experience
- 4+ years management experience
- Competent with Microsoft Word and familiar with ERPs such as SAP
- Experience managing and coordinating teams
- Experience setting tasks, allocating resources, and schedules to meet work plan
- Maintenance planning and reliability analysis experience
- Experience in report writing, carrying out analysis and putting together justifications
- Skilled communicator who demonstrates capability to influence change
