LOCATION
You will be based at our global head office in the heart of Perth’s CBD, which houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, and as a key member of the HR Leadership Team, you will actively contribute to business strategy. You will design and bring to life key global programs that drive the people and culture strategy across our organisation. Leading a team of experienced professionals, you will deliver through the following key sub-functions:
1. Culture and Organisational Capability
Design and develop programs of work that shape a safe, high-performance, and values- based organisational culture.
2. Talent Management and Strategic Sourcing
Define the strategic sourcing process for South32 and perform market analysis to identify inclusion and diversity requirements, talent capability gaps, and manage selection and talent processes for the senior Leadership Team.
3. Training and Learning
Identify strategic improvement opportunities whilst overseeing the development of training solutions for group capability compliance.
4. Systems, Process, Improvement and Governance
Develop and maintain strong operating practices to ensure disciplined oversight of HR plans, priorities, and projects, including management of reporting analytics, business planning and improvement, risk and governance.
5. Organisational Design
Embed our global organisation design methodology to improve clarity, consistency, and overall effectiveness of organisational design to enable delivery of the South32 purpose and strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience partnering with executive and C-Suite stakeholders within a large, complex and global business. With a proven track record of designing and delivering global people and cultural programs of work, you will have a desire to lead a high-performance team that influences global people practices.
In addition to this, you will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- A mindset of process optimisation, improvement and governance
- Deep understanding of multi-level leadership development programs
- Experience designing and developing processes across the employee lifecycle
- Deep understanding of organisational levers that drive and embed culture.
