The Macmahon Western Australian Corporate (WAC) Head Office is located near Perth International Airport, Terminal 2 (T2). The Macmahon office is an award-winning facility with a large, recently upgraded on-site gym, free secure undercover parking and electric vehicle charging stations. The WAC Head Office hosts Macmahon’s centralised support services and operates as the centre of gravity for the wider Australian and International business.
Macmahon is seeking a Growth and Business Development Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, Business Development and Technical Services, the primary purpose of the role is to provide strategic business development support and advice across the Macmahon business and develop and seek opportunities to contribute to setting the strategic direction across the business. This role is responsible for managing the business development team to assess growth opportunities (new and existing client relationships), including undertaking project due diligence, and building financial models to facilitate economic valuations.
About you
• 5+years’ experience in tendering, business development, business improvement or commercial management roles.
• 10+years’ experience within the mining industry in a technical, financial or management role.
• Understanding of financial principles and the mining industry.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Contract law knowledge.
• Self-motivated, able to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Effective leadership, team building and coaching skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
• Degree qualification in a mining or business-related discipline (e.g., Mine Engineering, Finance, Banking or equivalent) desirable.
