Work Location: Cloudbreak

Roster: 2/2 Roster

Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Fortescue Metals Group are currently looking for an experienced HD fitter to join the Cloudbreak Mobile Maintenance team.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Providing safe, effective, and timely mechanical maintenance on all equipment.
• Scheduled maintenance & servicing of Caterpillar 789C, 789D Autonomous, 785D Water Carts, 777F Service Trucks.
• Completion of service reports/workorders and identification of parts requirements.
• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical faults on Caterpillar mining equipment.

 Qualifications and skills required:

• HV Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate.
• Knowledge of SIS and SAP programs.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting heavy equipment with the use of onboard electronic and remote monitoring systems.
• Knowledge on heavy mobile equipment, specifically Caterpillar Trucks – 789C, 789D, 785D Water Carts, 777F Service Trucks
• HR licence desirable but not essential
