HD Mechanic Fitter

The Gwalia Gold Mine is located three kilometres south of the town of Leonora, Western Australia, and has been a flagship asset for our client St Barbara for the past 15 years. Macmahon is proud to be able to deliver a whole of mine service including mine development, ground support, production drilling and blasting, loading and trucking, shotcreting and paste fill reticulation from May 2021.

The Gwalia mine is the cornerstone of Leonora operations and has strong margins supported by good grades and a focus on costs and returns. The site has a track record of continuous improvement, with a recently upgraded mine ventilation system, and a previous significant upgrade of the accommodation village that incorporated a number of energy efficient and environmentally friendly initiatives.

The Macmahon Underground team is seeking for an experienced HD Fitter to work FIFO on a 2/2 night and day shift roster, available from Perth to project site.


Receive a Sign On Bonus of up to $30,000 which will be paid in 6-monthly instalments.
 

Essential Requirements: 
 

• Hold Relevant Trade Qualification 
• Previous Experience working on the equipment listed below
• Self-motivated and energetic
• Sound planning and organisational skills
• Proven ability to operate in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre employment medical
• Current Driver's Licence
