HD Mechanic Fitter

We have a requirement for Underground Fitters to join our Granny Smith project on a 2/2 roster. This role offers opportunities to grow and ongoing training for career progression. The successful applicant will be part of an enthusiastic, dynamic, approachable, and friendly team within a well reputed organisation. The Granny Smith gold mine is located 21km south of Laverton, WA. Land of the Wongatha Nyalpa Pirniku clans.

About the Position;

• Roster negotiable –2/2 or 2/1 (happy to discuss alternative options)
• FIFO ex any capital city 
• Attractive hourly rates
• Permanent, long-term opportunity with 6 weeks annual leave per year

Skills & Experience Required: 

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate  
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence (minimum)
• Proven experience in the repairs and maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment underground
• Breakdown repairs and servicing of heavy mining equipment
• Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical systems
• Maintain maintenance data on a daily basis
• Sound planning and organisational skills

• Sandvik Cable Bolt rigs
• Simba E7C Production Rigs
• Volvo/Caterpillar Wheel Loaders
• Toyota Landcruisers

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you are required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol screening and completion of criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will be required to provide proof of working rights in Australia, i.e. a copy of your valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
