Job Responsibilities

Health, Safety and Risk

  • Ensure all work is carried out according to Environmental regulations and licenses
  • Ensure all materials are used and all waste is disposed in a environmentally friendly way
  • Be able to maintain 3 points of contact at all times when accessing machines
  • Following specific maintenance programs and procedures
  • Performing all activities within the whole-of-job scope, including pre-work, preparation, organising materials, execution, test out and hand back, and sign off

Technical/Operational

  • Component change outs
  • Diagnose and repair equipment efficiently and consistently adhering to requiring standards of work
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of spare parts
  • Read engineering drawings and make equipment
  • Ensure that repairs and adjustments to equipment are consistent with the required standard of work and equipment availability (EOFT, manufacturers minimum specifications and site work procedures and standards)
  • Fault finding on various machines, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, schematic drawing and relevant diagnostic software
  • Operation of mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience
  • Accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
  • Use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), to complete time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
  • Conducting safety inspections of maintenance tools and equipment, and recommending any appropriate maintenance or other response

Commercial/Financial

  • Ensure work is done correctly the first time to the acceptable standard so there is no rework

Team Contribution

  • Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support to colleagues within area of competence
  • Ensure a clear hand over is completed with cross-shift
