Health and Safety Management System Specialist

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager Systems, Fortescue are currently looking for a Health and Safety Management System Specialist to review and maintain the contents of its updated Health and Safety Management system. You will also be required to maintain the contents as well as conduct assurance activities across Fortescue to ensure compliance.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Reviewing and updating Fortescue Health and Safety Management Systems to align with business requirements.
• Write an assurance plan for the Fortescue Health and Safety Management System.
• Conduct assurance activities across Fortescue.  
• Implementing technology to provide access to Fortescue Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Ongoing maintenance of Fortescue Health and Safety Management Systems in line with relevant legislation.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Exposure to safety management system updates.
• Auditing qualifications are advantageous and some experience in conducting audits.
• Highly organised and proactive to lead change.
