Work Location: Perth

  • Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

This is an advisory and technical role ensuring that business health and safety risks are adequately captured. You will provide direct support to the sites and business areas. Some travel will be required to sites to engage stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance to the Risk Standard.
  • Assist with workshop facilitation.
  • Ensure ALARP demonstration of major hazards.
  • Confirm critical controls and controls are effective through assurance activities.
  • Support and educate operations in compliance to standard.
  • Support development of risk reporting and risk management systems
  • Risk management through CGR assurance activities and qualitative risk studies and or facilitation.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health and safety
  • Good experience and understanding of  health and safety risk management processes for a 10,00+  employee company
  • Applied knowledge of health and safety legislative framework within the mining and metals industry
  • Experienced facilitating  risk processes
  • Good Knowledge and application of.
    • Qualitative risk tools
    • Quantitative risk tools
    • ISO 31000 Risk Management Guidelines
