About the role
Reporting to the HSE Manager, our Health and Safety Advisors play an integral part in our operations and act as role models in the field alongside our workforce to promote the effective application of all health, safety and training programs.  

In your day to day you will assist with ongoing safety and education working with our amazing team on site to really drive positive safety outcomes and initiatives.  You will be responsible for promoting awareness of Health and Safety Practices and reporting incidents. 

About You
  • Preferable but not necessary - Degree qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Certificate IV WHS
  • Experience in WHS Management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and listening
  • Australian driver’s license

The role
  • Play a pivotal role in early intervention and the application of the injury management process
  • Coordinate and manage incident reporting inclusive work and non-work-related injury rehabilitation and illness
  • Align the health and injury management processes with company policies and procedures including workplace insurance claims.
  • Assist Supervisors and employees with the Return-to-Work process by developing proactive and timely strategies including individual health management plans
  • Coordinate site drug and alcohol screening
  • Assist with the coordination of the hygiene exposure monitoring program with the site service provider
  • Assist in the development and delivery of health promotion initiatives for Aeris workforce
  • Assist with the management of site medicals
  • Engage and actively assist with the continual improvement of the site Safety and Health Management System to address site risks and key occupational hazards.
The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.
Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
