Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Based on site at Moolarben Coal Operations and reporting to the HST Manager, you will lead the HST Function in the role as HST Superintendent. Working closely with the management team you will play an integral role in improving the effectiveness of health, safety and training functions whilst maintaining a high-performance culture.
The role of Health, Safety & Training Superintendent is to provide health and safety advice and support to the MCO leadership team and lead the site Health, Safety & Training function to ensure that it meets targets in coaching other teams in OH&S initiatives and participating in the sites risk management systems and strategies.
Responsible for the effective management of resources to maintain compliance with site systems and governance to support the Complex in regards to Health, Safety and Training function.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Cert IV in work, Health & Safety
- Cert IV in training & assessment
- Experience in Health, Safety or Training roles - Mining or Heavy Industry preferred
- Driver's licence
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and influence leaders
- Well organised and confident in handling a substantial workload and completing priorities
Desirable:
- Diploma or Tertiary qualifications in WH&S and/or Training
- Experience in Risk assessment
- Experience in incident investigation
- Supervisor qualifications
