Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.
This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.
About the Role
As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Health Safety Environment and Training Superintendent to join the team on a full-time basis (8/6 ROSTER ex Perth, or variation of). These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.
Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?
- Lead implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems that are aligned with both Barminco’s and the Bellevue’s HSET strategies, with emphasis on proactive learning, continuous assurance of critical controls, and simplification of user experience
- Act as a trusted HSET partner to the Project Manager and site leadership, enabling capability development, informed decision-making, and risk ownership across site operations
- Support and coach the HSET team to become empowered, capable partners, aligned with Parenti’s internal coaching and leadership development model
- Operationalise the risk management framework by ensuring critical risks and controls are visible, understood, and monitored through robust assurance processes
- Leverage data and technology to enable insight-driven action and support smarter, real-time safety decision-making
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and open communication between site, client, and central HSE functions to deliver aligned and sustainable outcomes
- Drive safety leadership in the field by embedding routines and rituals that reinforce ownership of HSE outcomes and engage both hearts and minds

- Demonstrated extensive experience in HSET, with demonstrated leadership in fostering HSET systems, learning cultures, and empowering teams.
- Understanding of high-risk work environments and the systemic HSET challenges faced
- Experience facilitating investigations with a focus on organisational failings
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making tools that prioritise organisational learning, feedback loops, and continuous improvement
