Health & Safety Specialist - Compliance Roster: Monday to FridayDuration: 12 month fixed-term contractLocation: Perth
Reporting to the Principal Health, Safety, Risk & Compliance, this role is accountable for the implementation of systems that ensure FFI are meeting their Health & Safety compliance obligations globally.
Key to the success of this position will be the ability to develop good interpersonal relationships with workers on all levels of the project and the organisation, furthermore Personal commitment, competence, consistency and a practical approach are crucial elements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a consistent approach to the management and application of Health & Safety management processes across FFI and its associated contractors.
- Establish a process for maintaining FFI’s compliance to Management Systems & Fatality Control standards and legislative requirements.
- Administration of the FFI Obligations register as it pertains to Health & Safety.
- Deliver on compliance and systems related topics included in the FFI Health & Safety departmental strategic plan and contribute to the development of HS objectives and targets for the broader FFI business.
- Ensure timely reporting to external regulators in identified areas of Health & Safety compliance.
- Participate in contractor management assessments and reviews as required.
Qualification and Skills:
- Prior experience in health and safety systems and compliance processes in the heavy resourcing or energy fields
- Experience specifically in the development of compliance management in global jurisdictions would be highly regarded
- Minimum of at least 8 years’ experience with at least 5 years of recent experience in the development of Health and Safety obligation systems
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Lead Investigator (ICAM)
- Working knowledge of country Health & Safety legislation, relevant standards and codes of practice
- Knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and maintaining HS management systems
