About the Role
As the Health Specialist, your role is to provide support to the Asset to identify key Health risks and develop and embed strategies to control these risks, as well as to promote a physically and mentally healthy work place. This position is offered either residentially Monday to Friday in Roxby Downs, or FIFO from Adelaide on a 5/2/4/3 roster. Flexible work options will be considered.
In this role you will:
- Manage the site employee assistance program, maintaining a strong relationship with the designated EAP provider
- Access referral pathways to a multidisciplinary health team including Psychology support, OHN team and Injury Management team where appropriate.
- Support leaders to build capability in regards to Health and Wellbeing support available to themselves and their teams (both internal and external to the business)
- Improve understanding and management of Psychosocial hazards and risks at Olympic Dam
About You
You will be an energetic and driven professional with a background in Health, Mental Health, Allied Health or related field.
You will also have:
- A high attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Exercise Physiology) is desirable.
- Project management experience and
- Experience in coaching/training/upskilling teams on relevant health risks and how best to control them.
- Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with all levels of management
- Proficiency with running engagement workshops or similar is a must for this role.
