Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Drill Maintenance 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth or Busselton

Fortescue is seeking a talented Heavy Diesel Mechanic to support all routine and breakdown maintenance within the Drill Maintenance team.

This is a great opportunity for a safety orientated, team player that holds a strong skillset in diagnosis, fault finding and continuous improvement of Drill reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintenance of large-scale mining equipment specifically Drill rigs
• Diagnostics & fault finding
• Workshop and pit duties as required
• Work in conjunction with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
• Ensure Fortescue and site operations procedures and policies are followed

Qualifications and skills required:

• Relevant Trade qualification with previous experiencing in the mining industry
• Heavy mobile plant experience essential 
• High regard for safety
• Heavy Rigid Driver’s License desirable
