Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic (Workshop)

Force is seeking experienced Hydraulic Cylinder Repairers for an immediate start in our Mackay Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuild Division. Working in our 1st class facility, desired applicants will have previous Hydraulic Cylinder rebuild experience. Your duties will include rebuilding and the repair of Hydraulic Cylinders for the Emeco rental fleet and external supply.

Key responsibilities include:

• Rebuild and repair of Caterpillar Hydraulic Cylinders
• Quality Control
• Compiling Reports for Internal and External Viewing
• Managing jobs and supporting a small team in achieving daily targets
• Ongoing maintenance and servicing of Emeco/client equipment and machines
• Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
• Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
• Working with Emeco/Force customers to meet company objectives

Required skills / experience & attributes:

• Trade Qualified HD Fitters/Mechanics (nationally recognised)
• Current Drivers Licence
• Forklift licence desired
• Excellent work ethic
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong focus on Safety & Quality
• Attention to detail
• Good time keeping and job recording skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Significant post trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment, specialising in Caterpillar (highly desirable)
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
