Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic (Workshop) 

Force Equipment is seeking an experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics for an immediate start in our Mackay Maintenance Rebuild Facility.

Key responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on heavy earth moving equipment and perform the following duties:

  • Machine midlife’s on rental fleet, namely; Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Trucks & more.
  • Ongoing maintenance and servicing of Emeco/client equipment and machines
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
  • Working with Emeco customers to meet company objectives
  • Quality Control
  • Compiling Reports for internal and external viewing

Required skills / experience & attributes:

  • Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Experience rebuilding components
  • 2+ years post trade experience;
  • Confined Spaces, Working at Heights and Gantry Crane classifications will be highly regarded;
  • Excellent time keeping and job recording skills
  • Strong commitment to Safety & Quality
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised;
  • A dedicated attitude to following OHS policies and procedures;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Sound knowledge of Caterpillar/Komatsu equipment and systems
