Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic (Workshop)

Force Equipment is seeking an experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics for an immediate start in our Mackay Maintenance Rebuild Facility. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on heavy earth moving equipment and perform the following duties:

• Machine midlife’s on rental fleet, namely; Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Trucks & more.
• Ongoing maintenance and servicing of Emeco/client equipment and machines
• Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets
• Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required
• Working with Emeco customers to meet company objectives
• Quality Control
• Compiling Reports for internal and external viewing

We are looking for

• Heavy Diesel Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Experience rebuilding components
• 2+ years post trade experience;
• Confined Spaces, Working at Heights and Gantry Crane classifications will be highly regarded;
• Excellent time keeping and job recording skills
• Strong commitment to Safety & Quality
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised;
• A dedicated attitude to following OHS policies and procedures;
• Good communication skills;
• Sound knowledge of Caterpillar/Komatsu equipment and systems
