Heavy Diesel Technician

The Position

We are currently seeking to employ a Heavy Diesel Technician to carry out all aspects of plant mechanical maintenance on the Emeco fleet based at our operations at the Curragh Mine Site

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ongoing maintenance and service of Emeco Equipment and Machines;
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with Company guidelines and within cost targets;
  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required; and
  • Working with Emeco customers to meet company objectives.

What we are looking for

  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Proven site-based leadership/supervisory maintenance experience.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication for developing effective relationships and team atmosphere.
  • The ability to assess mechanical works coming into the workshop for maintenance, diagnose faults and prepare a detailed scope of work.
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to meet and exceed deadlines and financial budgets in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • Recognised National Trade Qualification
  • Current Standard 11
  • Proven experience and/or recognised training with CAT and Komatsu HME
  • High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
