About the Position

We are currently seeking to employ Heavy Diesel Technicians to carry out all aspects of plant mechanical maintenance on the Emeco fleet based in the Gunnedah Basin. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Technicians will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of qualified trades people and further their career in the Mining Industry.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ongoing maintenance and service of Emeco Equipment and Machines;
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with Company guidelines and within cost targets;
  • Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required;
  • Working with Emeco customers to meet company objectives.

Your Skills and Experience

  • A strong commitment to safety;
  • Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi;
  • Strong analytical skills with a solutions focus;
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team;
  • Current heavy vehicle Trade Qualification;
  • Licence to conduct high risk work with dogging, rigging, crane and work platform classifications.
