We are looking for Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters to maintain mobile equipment maintenance fleet by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for a candidates who live residentially to Paraburdoo or Tom Price or is willing to relocate to live residentially.

Reporting to Superintendent Maintenance Operations, and working in a collaborative community within Mobile Maintenance, you will:

  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks and repairs to a high standard to minimise downtime (e.g. rework)
  • Perform inspections on workshop tooling including stands, jacks and lifting equipment, and maintain workshop tooling where applicable e.g. platforms, jacks and stands
  •  Perform auto electrical repairs where qualified to do so including air conditions repairs
  •  Assist in the execution of shutdown maintenance
  •  Actively work towards increasing equipment reliability as well as availability
  • Complete isolations and inspections to identify faults and raise quality notifications in SAP.
  • Report indications of defects as required
  • Complete quality handovers with oncoming crews and other maintenance teams as required

What you’ll bring:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Computer skills and previous experience with SAP or similar
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and proactive maintenance principles
  • Diagnostic fault-finding abilities, plan, priorities work to meet deadlines
  • Experience maintaining HME equipment – tracks and/or tyres preferred Qualifications
  • Heafy Equipment or Diesel Mechanical Fitter or similar trade qualification
  • A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual) or higher
  • Current HVIA certificate, HLTCPR201A Perform CPR
  • Current Confined Space and Working at Heights certificate
  • High Risk Work Licences preferred – LF, WP
