About the role
Through BHP’s Future Fit Academy we are providing a nationally recognised qualification in multiple trades to diverse and New to Industry employees. As part of these qualifications, we will be providing nationally recognised High Risk Work Licences and Statement of Attainments in addition with experience in accumulated tickets. Your role as a certified High Risk Trainer Assessor will be to deliver our training packages to a high standard, ensuring safety and quality is met, setting our Trainee’s and Apprentice’s up for success. Working alongside our execution teams you will provide support with planning, scheduling, and delivery of courses for each crew, as well as on-going in-field training, and VOCs. Please note that while these positions are open to applicants across Australia, the role is based residentially in Mackay. These are not FIFO positions. Your key deliverables include, but are not limited to:

Working with Execution leaders to ensure completed skills are achieved by required completion date.

Providing on the job practical training to build industry experience.
-
Deliver high quality training.
-
Collaborating with key stakeholders to review and improve training packages.
-
Carrying out performance verifications to ensure compliance and standards are met.

Managing your core routines, KPI’s, roles & responsibilities as a BHP employee.

Maintaining training currency and skill set to perform role.
-
Prepare and lodge all administrative documentation with RTO and QLD Worksafe.
-
QLD HR Accredited or ability to obtain.
About You
We are looking for individuals that have experience in influencing and empowering others to achieve higher performance. Your commitment to making a real difference to the performance of our people and business will be highly regarded. Ideally you will possess all or most of the below High Risk licenses. We may be able to assist in acquiring some licenses or tickets for the right candidate. Additionally, you will bring the following:

High Risk Work Licenses (ideally all or a majority of):
-
Forklift (LF).
-
Elevated Work Platform (WP).
-
Dogging (DG).
-
Rigging Basics (RB) or higher.
-
Working safely at heights.
-
Enter and work in confined space with gas test atmospheres.
-
Overhead travelling crane or higher.
-
Firefighting; HLTAID011-Provide First Aid. Unit of Competency (UOC) qualifications desirable.

Current TAE 40116 Cert IV
-
Industry experience.
-
Demonstrates a high level of initiative, reliability, safety, pro-active.

Strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organisation from senior management to frontline leaders and technicians.
