Location

New South Wales Energy Coal consists of the Mt Arthur Coal open-cut energy coal mine in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia. The site produces coal for international customers in the energy sector.  

In these full-time permanent positions, you will be residential based at Muswellbrook NSW and working on 2 panel roster.   As these roles are residential, successful applicant will be required to live within a safe distance from our mine site, aligned with our fatigue management policies.  Successful applicants will be required to live within a safe distance from our mine site, aligned with our fatigue management policies. About the Role

We are looking for driven and self-motivated qualified Tradespersons to conduct maintenance and preventive works across site non processing Infrastructure (NPI) facilities including fixed plant and pumps.  Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be responsible for supporting the operation in maximising the availability of site Infrastructure.  

Positions available are: •    High Voltage Electrician •    Mechanical Fitter  

Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent your accountabilities include:   

•    Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day •    Perform planned, unplanned and or breakdown maintenance •    Engage in Safety initiatives, identify and report on any unsafe equipment •    Perform Maintenance work as per weekly schedule •    Contribute to the development of Maintenance Procedures •    Maintain tools and equipment as well as a high level of housekeeping in all work areas

About You

You will be a team player, who is passionate about all aspects of your trade.  Working with a diverse team of skilled tradespeople you will have demonstrated experience working on mine sites and/or construction projects and have the flexibility to undertake a variety of different tasks and scopes. You will embrace a proactive safety culture and be willing to comply with all site policies and procedures.  

As our successful candidates will possess the following: 

•    Experience working in a maintenance role in mining, heavy industry or manufacturing  •    A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure •    A strong desire to learn and a high level of enthusiasm to develop a range of new skills •    A desire to achieve results through great teamwork and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-skilled team. •    Ability to work and communicate effectively with Operations, Planning and other related personnel •    Proven ability to execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks •    Proficient in the use of 1SAP or similar, preferred but not essential.
