HME Asset and Quality Inspector

Force are currently recruiting for a HME Asset and Quality Inspector. Predominately Perth based, between Forrestfield, Guildford and Osborne Park, with regular site travel between Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie, and other areas as required.

You’ll be working on a Monday to Friday roster and reporting into the Regional Operations Manager – Workshops.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the asset is in a mechanically compliant condition and can perform it’s intended purpose.
  • The asset is compliant with all Emeco Groups, Legislative, ISO AS standards & OEM requirements and obligations.
  • Any asset modifications are identified, and the asset is equipped with the appropriate maintenance and operational risk assessments and procedures.
  • Provision of any asset compliance certificate(s) by the customer
  • Responsible for the appropriate and successful Force business relationships with internal and external customers
  • Accountable for the prompt provision of completed Asset Inspection documentation records.
  • Responsible for the appropriate processing of asset related documentation
  • Purchasing requisitions outsourcing specialised inspectors
  • Report on asset inspections
  • Advise and escalate any equipment delivery delays due to noncompliance or defect rectification.
  • Identify asset defects during inspections and advise relevant teams/departments, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Where required assist with investigations relating to asset improvements resulting from safety incidents
  • Review work procedures and SWMS (safe work method statements) and update utilising a controlled DMS (document management system)

Required skills/experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary or Trade qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent field of experience
  • Minimum 5 years in asset maintenance and management in a mining environment
  • Proficient with CMMS and ERP Systems
  • Extensive knowledge of HME and ancillary mining equipment
  • Demonstrated availability to perform detailed asset inspections.
