Position Title: HME Coordinator

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role overview:

Reporting to the Manager– HME, this role will be responsible for the successful delivery of new, hire equipment and MCORS rebuild program. The successful execution of this work is paramount in achieving our cost, availability, and reliability targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure new and hire equipment meets FMG, Australian, International, and other relevant standards including Mine regulations.
  • Write and manage HME specifications.
  • Provide a consistent link with our OEM,s and vendors to ensure schedule adherence, cost control and prompt issue resolution.
  • Inspect all new, hire equipment and MCORS to ensure that they are being managed in accordance with our standards and cost targets.
  • Carry out machine Risk assessments as required.
  • Coordinate HME transport

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Sound understanding of Mine regulations, Australian, International, and other relevant standards.
  • Considerable experience in a similar role
  • Strong Project Management experience essential
  • Engineering or Trade Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills and influencing abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • High organisational and planning skills
