About the role
Take the next step in your mobile maintenance career as a HME Inspector within the Mobile Maintenance Engineering Team.
This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, ‘hands on’ individual who is looking to apply their technical knowledge by undertaking regular equipment inspections & repairs to our fleet of auxiliary heavy mobile equipment, working with the team of HME Inspectors, Condition Monitoring Technicians and Maintenance Engineers.
Working 8 days on, 6 days off on a fly in-fly out roster you will:
- Conduct routine inspections of mobile equipment and determine repair action when required
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
- Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
What you will bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A Plant Mechanic of Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic Trade qualification
- Current experience in open cut Heavy Mobile Equipment mining environment
- Excellent diagnostic fault-finding abilities
- Good understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
- A Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence essential
- Ability to work cooperatively in a small team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements with good Communications Skills
- High Risk Licences – Elevated Work Platform, Rigging or Dogging, Forklift, Working at Heights
- HR Drivers Licence highly desirable
